Calendar and Multiple Mail Domains

Postby sebpayne » Sun Nov 06, 2005 5:05 am

Hi All

I've been looking at Scalix Community Edition and it looks great but I have two questions:

a.) What Calendaring protocol is used? WebDAV? Can it interface with Apple's iCal or Mozilla Sunbird?

b.) Can I host multiple mail domains?

Thanks

Seb

Seb,

Scalix is multi-domain capable by default; actually, it has no concept of "domains" at this point, so in the most extreme case, every user can have his own email domain.

For calendaring, we currently use our own proprietary mechanisms, so the only calendar clients supported are MS-Outlook (using the Scalix MAPI Connector) and Scalix Web Access.

The next release of Scalix, coming in Q1/2006, will feature iCal-Interoperability as well as Webcal access to your calendar, so you will be able to download your calendar in both Apple's iCal and Sunbird.

Cheers,
Florian.
