Public Folder data restore

We currently backup our whole file system (including /var/opt/scalix) and also backup individual mailboxes. However we have never specifically exported the Public Folders. We now have a situation where all appointments have disappeared from a calendar in the public folders and we would like to restore from backup. Is there anyway to do this?

Easiest way would be to build another machine with the same IP and hostname as your mail server. Restore the backup to it. Install Scalix on it. Then connect to it with outlook and export the public folder to a pst or use sxmboxexp to export the public folders then reimport back into the good server.
