Hi,

i need to send email with sendmail from the shell of the scalix to an local scalix user, created with sac.
When I am sending a messages to user@mydomain.com the mail seems only to get into the mqueue from sendmail. The mail.log shows me following:

May 24 16:53:22 scalix sendmail[4195]: l4OErMiQ004195: from=root, size=47, class=0, nrcpts=1, msgid=<200705241453.l4OErMiQ004195@scalix.mydomain.com>, relay=root@localhost
May 24 16:53:22 scalix sendmail[4195]: l4OErMiQ004195: to=pma@mydomain.com, delay=00:00:00, mailer=esmtp, pri=30047, dsn=4.4.3, stat=queued

I already tried to work with sendmails mailertable and route the mydomain.de mails through the outside IP-adress, but nothing works.

Using the local-host-names didn't work either. I put my domain into that file, make the make in /etc/mail .. but he doenst seem to touch this file. Because when i take a look into the sendmail.cf file , the Cw parameter is still only localhost.

Than i put my domain manually into the sendmail.cf into section Cw, but it still donst work. I always get the Notice a pastet on top.

Is here anyone with an idea how to fix it? its possible I know, but now I am trying fpr 2 Days and I just can't find the error.

King Regards

Similar symptoms can be caused by different offenders. The difficult part is to come up with the best approach to isolate the problem.

Some questions for help us understand your environment.:
1) result of: dig MX mydomain.com
2) keep a tail -f on /var/log/messages and send us the result while you go to /etc/mail and type make, followed by /etc/init.d/sendmail restart (the objective is to generate a clean sendmail.cf from the sendmail.mc; it's not a good practice to edit sendmail.cf directly)
3) keep a tail -f on /var/log/maillog and send us the result while you send an email to user@scalix.mydomain.com

Let's start with those and move on from there.

What version of Scalix are you using? if 9 or 10 then failing to run omsendin after rebuilding your sendmail.cf could be the culprit.
