After update from 11.0.3 to 11.0.4 our TEMP-location (var/opt/scalix/xx/s/temp) has more then 168000 files.
Is there any reason for the TEMP-Filesystem having so many files?

Set a cronjob to run omscan -Aavfx about once a week (Do it offhours, it'll be IO intensive). That will clean up temp files older than a week. You COULD just delete the files older than a week. Someone with a similar sounding name, kanderson, posted a "find" script in an older thread that cleans this out.

hi kev, we've got a cronjob for this, which cleans all the files older 3 days. But my problem is... 5.30 pm (germany) I've wrote this thread. TEMP-Filesystem 168000 Files. 6.45 pm we have 177000 Files in the TEMP-Filesystem
11.30 pm we've got 178157 files in the TEMP-Filesystem, although we delete temp-files older than 3 days. It's a big Problem. With 11.0.3. we had only 3000 - 10000 Files in this folder.

Now it's 08.24 am --> 189091files in temp

Now it's 2:41 pm 223217 Files in the TEMP-Location.
Is there anybody who can help us?

Hi,

Thanks for this thread - went to check the temp-directory to find out it consisted of >12 MILLION files! :O

I was thinking of running a "dry run" of the omscan (left the -f out of the parameters) but still noticed that it had cleared all temp-files older than seven days (leaving about 250K files) - Scalix people can you comment if this is "normal behavior", a.k.a. should omscan delete the temp-files even without the -f parameter?

I'm setting this omscan-job into a weekly cron job, it seems massive that after running about half a year the server has created more than 12 million temp files (that have persisted even after an update from 10 to 11)...
