address book incompatibility swa - outlook

Postby grassu » Fri May 11, 2007 10:56 am

Hi all,

just upgraded from 11.0.3 to 11.0.4 without problems.

Until now we only used the swa. Now I installed the outlook-connector(11.0.4) for testing with outlook 2003 and I get this error when using addresses (I just fill in the Name in the to-field) from the address book:

Code: Select all

Der Adresstyp wird von diesem Dienst nicht unterstützt.

This happes only for addresses acquired with swa.

As I can see the problem seems to be the missing field "Anzeigen als". This is autocompleted by outlook when acquiring new addresses but not in swa.

So my questions are:
- is there a way to configure outlook to use my addresses without this field "Anzeigen als"
- shouldn't swa also autocomplete this field

Thanks,

grassu

These are two different stored cache file, Outlook being N2K, and SWA in th imap message store.

So the two will be totally different.

?
I do not understand what you mean.

I have access to my address book from outlook and from swa.

I have submitted a bug to scalix regarding this

There is a small workaround for this. If you enter the contact into the "to" field in outlook and right click on it a choose properties, it will add the email address to the Display view and fix your problem. I have entered it into the bug info so scalix is aware and can address it.
