Hey guys, same Problem as mentioned often, but different solution I think. First off all, I've checked all the posts and tried the solutions discribed there, but they didn't help at all.
Running Scalix 1103 on a SuSE Enterprise 9 machine. Everything works fine, also receiving mails. Here's the output of omshowlog, if other logs are needed please post.

Hi Nillo!

In order to prevent the internal format being used the ~/sys/mime.cs file can be extended
to have an explicit mapping, for ex. ISO-8859-2 (and any more ISO-8859-* values that
may be used). So for ISO-8559-2, add the line "ISO-8859-2<tab>ISO-8859-2" after the
line for ISO8859_1 to give a mime.cs file that looks like this:

UNIXJIS ISO-2022-JP
KSC5601 EUC-KR
KSC5601 ks_c_5601-1987
HZGB2312 HZ-GB-2312
ISO8859_1 ISO-8859-1
ISO-8859-2 ISO-8859-2
UTF7 UTF-7
UTF7 UTF7

Nothing needs to be restarted for this to take effect.

In your case, Scalix Server was unable to find a conversion for SJIS and ISO2022CN,
between Scalix character set names and RFC 1521 (MIME) character set names, if you
know the character set that is used for these, we can add the conversion rule for them
in mime.cs file. I saw my resources and found that for SJIS and ISO2022CN, it should be:

Note: <tab> is notation of pressing tab key to separate the two character set names.

I added the two entries in mime.cs but it didn't help.
But I have news:
The problem is, that sendmail and omsmtpd don't run together. When I kill omsmtpd and start sendmail my messages are sent. But i cannot run them simultaneously. This thread helped :

Now a question: How do I get a new sendmail.cf? I cannot "make" one...
and with

Got the m4 file, found it on a different place and copied it.
But i cannot get Sendmail and omsmtpd run at the same time. Copied the sendmail.mc from the other thread, it compiled me the sendmail.cf but it still doesn't work.
I get only started omsmtpd or sendmail, but not both at the same time.

Hi!

Check if RPM for m4 is installed, also if it is installed try running the command

m4 /etc/mail/sendmail.mc > /etc/mail/sendmail.cf

then run command

omsendin

to make Scalix changes take effect in sednmail.cf.

Hi Subir!
Yes m4 is installed and I run omsendin without errors. But sendmail and omsmtpd still won't run simultaneously.
Should I post other config files or logs?

Hi Nillo!

Can you change the line in your sendmail.mc:

to be

Note the removed space before the "(" and then space replaced by the dnl at the end.

After this, rerun the following command sequence:

service sendmail stop
rm -f *.cf
m4 sendmail.mc > sendmail.cf
omsendin
service sendmail start

Please reply if this works.
