I installed the upgrade a few days ago and just spotted spamassassin isn't scanning mail.

Did the 11.0.3 change sendmail.cf file as it looks like it's contents have changed and this is why.

Also like in another post I get these with omshowlog

ERROR Browser (Service 14 ) 22.04.07 12:26:10

Last Msg Id: 9ff401c784cf(036)db5e8233(036)fdbc03f3(a)barringtonhomesinc.com

Hi!

Did you run the command "omtidyallu -M" to pre-generate MIME and check again if you still
get such error(s). If the error still come, try clearing the IMAP cache for this user.
Last Msg DirectRef: 0001aa31c1b4ab49

To know the username, from the Direct reference value as above, you can identify the user
mailbox which is returning the problem using the command "omdref <Direct reference
number>". Once you know the username, we can follow the steps below to clear IMAP
cache for this user:
1. make sure the user is logged out, i.e.

Code: Select all

omstat -u all

should not show any more sessions for any user.

2. determine the user folder directory, i.e.

Code: Select all

omshowu -n <lastname> -f

Note: <lastname> should be the lastname of the user for mailbox 1.

3. Go there (the so-called g-directory of the user)

Code: Select all

cd /var/opt/scalix/??/s/user/????????/

4. This should have a subdirectory called imap-cache. delete that:

Code: Select all

rm -r imap-cache

5. Try accessing the user's mailbox using IMAP again.

Now, restart scalix-tomcat service and try again.

Thanks,
Subir

Thanks for that, I'll give it a go. Typically, the user it's come from if out for a week so I'll wait until she's back and see what happens.

Did the sendmail.cf file change with the 11.0.3 upgrade? If not, what could have changed it?

It is overwritten

As I posted here: viewtopic.php?t=7002

That file is overwritten, but, I don't think it should be. I think the installer could check for this. From my post: "the etc\mail\sendmail.cf file is overwritten with each of these incremental upgrades, disabling spamassasin until you add back the changes. I understand why this file is being overwritten (for users upgrading from version 10.x, with bad settings or fresh installs), but, how about putting a check in the installer to see if the user is upgrading from 11.x and if so not overwrite this file, since there are no changes with this file between any of these 11.x upgrades. That would be great and would trim the upgrade time to less than 20 minutes."

This is not just an anoyance since I use the spamassin milter to scrape the email through Clamav as well, so, when this file is overwritten suddently virus's can be delivered to my users!
