[OM.DMON 2171] The SMTP Relay could not listen on port 25.

why this error occurs ...........

problem is fixed i have commented the below line in /etc/mail/sendmail.mc

DAEMON_OPTIONS(`Port=smtp,Addr=127.0.0.1, Name=MTA')dnl
now i am able to send mail to the local user of scalix.

but now.
if i send mail to any other out side domain i am getting a mailer daemon to root user
telling that name server <domain nmae> host cannot find.

1. i installed spamassassin but not yet configured even service is not running.

the host not found error is not for oust domain.
this error is for the local scalix domain.

Have a look at the post below:

see if this helps.

Host not found errors typically depict that the error is due to incomplete/improper DNS
entries and that you are not getting response from there.

What are the result for the commands:

Add your domain to /et/mail/local-host-names and restart sendmail.

Subir the use of local-host-names file is, if we are having more than one names for our host .

i think so

But if u observe my previous post the log in smtpd-SMPT.log file

error is there at the rcpt to: neelu@theuxgroup.com NOTIFY=FAILURE,DELAY

tell me why that notify=failure, delay is ............

theuxgroup.com is not my localhost it is a domain on the internet.
theuxgtraining.com is the local domain created in scalix.

i think that u get me ..

i think theuxgroup.com domain may have my ip in black list.

because i am able to receive the mail from my scalix server to yahoo,hotmail and gmail.
