FATAL. file /var/opt/scalix/sx/postgres/data/PG_VERSION is missing. This is not a valid data directory
initdb: invalid option --auth=ident sameuser
This is the error occurring on our server and I was wondering what should be in this PG_VERSION file? Can it just be created and if so what is in it? Is this something more serious that the data directory isn't considered to be a 'data' directory?
This is on Version 11.0.2.1
Found a PG_VERSION in different location?

Kept looking in to this and found reference to a /var/opt/scalix-postgres directory but didn't have this however there is a /var/opt/postgres directory and in there is a data directory and a PG_VERSION file with 7.3 in that file.
Should I edit a configuration file... somewhere and point to the /var/opt/postgres directory as opposed to the /var/opt/scalix/sx/postgres directory?

Hi!
What's the result for "rpm -qa | grep post" the supported postgres version for Scalix 11
is 7.4 or greater. I would suggest you to re-configure Scalix-DB and Scalix Messaging
Services components by running Scalix installer.
Thanks,
Subir

I installed the following:
rpm -qa |grep post
postgresql-8.0.12-1PGDG
postgresql-libs-8.0.12-1PGDG
postgresql-server-8.0.12-1PGDG
rh-postgresql-libs-7.3.18-1
previously 7.3.18 was installed and I uninstalled it and installed 8.0 but the version of Apache that is on this server required the 7.3 libs, it wouldn't start up without this installed, so I reinstalled those.

Hi!
Apache needs to be upgraded to suit PostgreSQL 7.4.x or above. What OS you are using?
Thanks,
