Which AV scanner works best with Scalix?

What AV software are you (the community) using in conjunction with your scalix server?

I'm currently evaluating ClamAV and McAfee...just curious what others experience has been.

McAfee, ClamAV, Trend and FSecure are all one's that work with Scalix. ClamAV is clearly the most efficient, but generally speaking customers already have licensing agreements with some of the bigger names (McAfee and Trend), hence they go with them.

Documentation is talking about Mcafee for Linux. But I can't find a product with this name on de McaFee website. I want to know what it will cost me to use a commercial AV scanner for a scalix server.

- Is this the right product from McAfee? McAfee® LinuxShield™
- Am I Right that I only need one licence (Just for the Scalix server)?

Is it possible to use AntiVir Virusscanner for scalix?

It's not one that we've tested but for integration with Scalix, there are a couple of requirements:

1) There must be a command line version of the scanner.
2) It must be capable of returning a different return code depeding upon whether the message is clean or infected.
3) [optional] It provides a disinfection feature

You can then add your chosen product to the omvscan.map script and also add an appropriate configuration to /var/opt/scalix/sys/omvscan.cfg.
