openldap schema problems

Postby peerkesezuuker » Sat Feb 24, 2007 5:12 am

Hi,
I am using scalix now for a while and it is verry good.
Now i was trying to use my ldap server to administer my account's, after reading serveral post's on this forum, the syncing with scalix is working (the users from my ldap with an email adress are showing up in scalix administartor console.
The include of the scalix schema is an other story, i inculded it in my openldap configuration, and restarted openldap without any error's.
The creation of the example user and group (as descriped within the schema) worked the objectclaa and attribute's are filled in, but when i click on the info button in phpldapadmin i get an error : No such schema item: "scalixUserClass"
And when i want to edit my existing users i get the following :
In phpldapadmin i cant add scalix attribute's or objectclass to an user (they are simpley not there...)
In Softerra Ldap admin i can select the scalix propertie's but after configuring i click finish i get un undifined error... (not explaining anything just ERROR).
With the command line tool ldapmodify i get an

Code: Select all

ldap_bind: Naming violation (64)

The command i use is

Code: Select all

ldapmodify -x -D "cn=Manager,dc=sonnehoek,dc=nl" -W -v -f /tmp/modify.ldif"
and this is the modify.ldif :

Code: Select all

dn: uid=peer,ou=Users,dc=sonnehoek,dc=nl
changetype: modify
add: objectClass
objectClass: scalixUserClass
-
add: ScalixObject
ScalixObject: TRUE
-
add: ScalixMailnode
ScalixMailnode: reliant,reliant.home.org
-
add: ScalixMsglang
ScalixMsglang: ENGLISH
-
add: ScalixAdmin
ScalixAdmin: TRUE
-
add: ScalixMboxadmin
ScalixMboxadmin: FALSE
or when i import the ldif code in phpldapadmin i get an Object class violation error 41

Maybe i am doing something wrong, or the schem is not compatible with my openldap (version slapd 2.3.19 (Feb 13 2006 11:19:24) on a fedora 5 machine), i don't know anymore (i am not an expert on openldap)
I hop someone can help me

Thank's in advance

Yahoo,

I got it working.
With Ldapmodify command i finaly succeeded adding entry's to an uid.

Code: Select all

ldapmodify -x -h xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx -D "cn=Manager,dc=sonnehoek,dc=nl" -W -v -f /tmp/modify.ldif

With following ldif :

Code: Select all

dn: uid=peer,ou=Users,dc=sonnehoek,dc=nl
changetype: modify
add: scalixScalixObject
scalixScalixObject: TRUE
-
add: objectClass
objectClass: scalixUserClass
-
add: scalixMailnode
scalixMailnode: reliant,reliant.home.org
-
add: scalixServerLanguage
scalixServerLanguage: ENGLISH
-
add: scalixAdministrator
scalixAdministrator: TRUE
-
add: scalixMailboxAdministrator
scalixMailboxAdministrator: TRUE
-
add: scalixEmailAddress
scalixEmailAddress: xxxx@xxxxxxxx.xx
-
add: scalixLimitMailboxSize
scalixLimitMailboxSize:1024000
-
add: scalixLimitOutboundMail
scalixLimitOutboundMail: TRUE
-
add: scalixLimitInboundMail
scalixLimitInboundMail: TRUE
-
add: scalixLimitNotifyUser
scalixLimitNotifyUser: TRUE
-
add: scalixHideUserEntry
scalixHideUserEntry: FALSE
-
add: scalixMailboxClass
scalixMailboxClass: FULL

Now the attribute's are showin up in phpldapadmin and are editable.
Testing goes on, i'll keep you updated.
