Rules wizard doesnt work.

Postby Warlock » Fri Feb 23, 2007 2:52 am

Hi - I am experiencing a problem on one of my machines. It is running outlook 2003 and has all security updates applied. When I try to create a new rule, it uses the outlook rules wizard and not the scalix rules wizard. I havent been able to find an option within outlook to change this.

I've seen this issue to many times  I never found the reason why it stopped working, and the only thing that worked for me was re-creating the Outlook profile.

Tnx Kris - I have gone as far as recreating the profile, removing and re-installing the connector and finally re-installing outlook altogether on this PC but still no joy.

I have the same problem here on two machines,
using Scalix 11.00, have tried to use new outlook connector 11.00.1, but still no luck.

The view worked till some days ago on both machines and suddenly the Outlook view appears.

Outlook 2003 SP 2, Windows XP, Server 11.00 GA on Debian

Maybe anybody can think of a solution. Rules are working in web-access, but this is inconsistent.

Disabled maybe?

Go to help-about Microsoft Outlook.
Click Disabled items. and reenable them.

Yep, that was it, but how comes the feature is disabled ?
I am not aware even how to disable plugins in Outlook !
And I am sure nobody would do this. Maybe accidentally, but on two machines ?
