Problem with SXCacheMgr Scalix Outlook Connector 11.0.1.22

Postby RalfO » Thu Feb 22, 2007 10:13 am

Hi. Since we upgraded to Scalix Server Version 11.0.11 and Scalix Outlook Connector we get a lot of Errors at the Clients.

One Problem at Windows XP an Office 2003 SP2 is that Outlook stops and we get the following Error-Message:

SXCacheMgr
Schwerwiegender Fehler. Beende Synchronisierung. Bitte starten Sie Outlook neu.

But Restart of Outlook doesn't work. The Usaer has to logout and login again Because the SXCacheMgr.exe stucks.

We tried to uninstall the Connector, delete all Files and Directories and reinstall the Connector again but the behavior stays the same.

Can you please tell me what to do? Thank you.

Ralf

Unless you need specific functionality from the 11 connector (Smartcache or I18N), you could downgrade to version 10 of the Connector. Most of the issues with the client were resolved in 11.0.1, but there are a few issues left in the v11 release that should be resolved in 11.0.2.

I know that's not overly helpful, but I don't speak that language, so unfortunately, I can't be overly helpful. Reverting to 10 will resolve issues people are seeing with 11 though, but it does not offer all of 11's functionality.

Sorry
Kev.

Dear Kev.

Thank for your posting.

"Schwerwiegender Fehler. Beende Synchronisierung. Bitte starten Sie Outlook neu." means something like:

Severe error. Ending synchronisation. Please restart Outlook.

We stopped the rollout of 11.0.1 but all users told us that it takes much longer to use Outlook with version 10.

Do you know when 11.0.2 will be available?

Ralf.

Planned release is about 2 weeks. First week of March. That could move a bit depending on QA though.
