Error logging into account via POP3, SWA is OK though

Hi
We are running scalix 10.0.5.3-server on Centos 4.3.and are in the process of migrating users from an ISP hosted pop3 server to scalix. Iniitally we want to run POP3 on the clients until we roill out the scalix connector to the desktops. The server is configured to authenticate to an AD server with SSO. Strangely, we have no problems logging in via SWA with usernam@domain and the users windows password, but if we try to login to the pop3 server we get an error "Err-Signon failed". Im guessing this is to do with SSO but I can't find any docco about making this work for POP3.
Any ideas?
Paul
