Extended DST

Postby wmcdonald » Fri Feb 16, 2007 2:52 pm

Does anyone know if Scalix 10.0.5 needs any patches for the new Extended Daylight Savings Time begining March 11, 2007?

I see that Outlook Calendars may require TZMOVE run against them. The instructions indicate that TZMOVE should not be executed on the client side until the administrator completed the patches required for MS Exchange. Is Scalix putting out a patch also?

I too have been searching this the last couple of days. I am still unsure if there is something we are going to have to patch...

wmcdonald, as I mentioned in another thread, you should be recieving announcements concerning these items, the fact that you are not concerns me, and should be rectified.

The short answer is that Scalix uses the time information from the underlying OS, which means that Scalix should be fine as long as the distro is.

The long answer will be more officially announced shortly.
