no connection with outlook connector

Postby seidler » Fri Feb 16, 2007 7:16 am

Hi guys,

after the crash of my scalix server I unistalled and installed my scalix new, but now I cannot connect with outlook to the server. I deleted the profil and create a new, but I get the message that the server is unrechable due a networkt failure?
SAC and Webmail are working.
What's the reason for that?

from the windows pc you're using, what happens when you execute the following command from a cmd window:

Code: Select all

telnet nameofscalixserver 5729

please replace nameofscalixserver with the fully-qualified domain name (like myscalix.mycompany.com) of the scalix server.

cheers,
Florian.

those are correct.

creating a profile still doesn't work? When creating the profile, are you using the IP address of the server or the hostname?

any changes in your network configuration? DNS caching? Is the machine in the LAN with you?
