Cant delete users additional email-adress

Hi volks!

I try to delete an additional emailadress we gave to one of our users.
Everytime I try to save the users profile in the SAC I get the message
"Benutzerinformationen konnten nicht gespeichert werden"
("Userinformation coult not be saved")

Iam not able to change this users password, too.... )-:

Would be very nice if someone could help me!!!!

Hi frankobald,

could you please post the output of omsearch -e s=<users name> -m @ALL-ATTR@ and omshowu -n <usersname> I guess you have some german "Umlaut"problems with this users within the email-address. Is this an existing user or newly addedd today? So if it is newly added one I would deleted the user with omdelu <authentication id>.

...stepping in, because Stefan pointed me to that.

Umlauts with SAC are sensitive to the LANG-setting of the server and the tomcat-process.
There is a very descriptive post for that problem: viewtopic.php?t=3473

You should be able to make this account manageable with:

(removed real-names to protect)
If are experiencing further problems, remove the S-TX and CN-TX from the command. You can add it easily with SAC afterwards.


There is no need to specify "friendly-names" for addtional SMTP-addresses, AFAIK these are never used. If someone knows better, please enlighten me.

i tried to modify the user the way you described.... ommodu gave no output
(if i use ommodu just with -o an the name i'll get the output "The user was modified
successfull")

If i look at the user-profile with omshowu -n <username> nothing changed.....
the german special-chars in S-TX an CN-TX are still the same as before.

and no change in SAC....
