omldapsync & Exchange 5.5 weirdness

Just got Scalix 11 GA set up on SLES10 and I'm having some migration issues. I'm doing a phased migration "by the book" with the v11GA instructions. My current setup is with the exchange server named exchange.company.com and handling mail for company.com. I've got the Scalix box set up as scalix.company.com.

For some reason, the instructions seem to be missing what needs to be done for the Scalix server to accept e-mails destined to user@scalix.company.com to go to the scalix user for user@company.com. I may be a bit backwards with the sync setup, but it just seems that a step is missing.

Also, after provisioning the user in scalix, disabling auto forwarding, and running omldapsync, the exchange "Scalix Users" container shows the user like it should, but with the @company.com address, preventing mail from being sent to the Scalix server.

Here is how I got it to work:

* In SAC go to Settings and then click Administration on the left hand pane.
* Under Local Domains click Add Domain and add the FQDN of your Scalix server, scalix.company.com
* Go to Users, pick the user you want to accept mail forwarded from the Exchange server, and add a new email address in the form user@scalix.company.com. The drop down for the domain name should list every domain added to Local Domains.
