SMTP Relay deleted

I was trying to follow a tip from another post about SMTP relay hanging.
Apparently I have uninstalled it, or simply removed it as a service.
I'll going to try to uninstall and reinstall scalix in the morning but is there an easier way to add SMTP relay back to the list of services?

that depends on what you did. did you play with the omsetsvc command? if so, can you reproduce the command line that you used (look in your shell's history)
cheers,
Florian.

I've done the same thing. I meant to type
but instead I typed
Is there a way I can get it back without a full reinstall?

Yes.
you need
Code: Select all
omsetsvc -d 103 4 0 0 1 \
"~/bin/omsmtpd" \
"~/bin/omshutdm -s 103 -p -g SIGTERM -d %d" \
"" "" 0
(I "stole" this from /opt/scalix/install/OM-CORE.inst)
I feel with you on this one - everytime I execute omsetsvc -r i'm tempted to type -i because it sounds so much like "info" while "-r" rather sounds like "remove".

I've actually raised a bug to improve this... check
http://bugzilla.scalix.com/show_bug.cgi?id=14962
I can't really assign this high priority because it's a rare occurrence, but let's track it and improve it at some point.
