IMAP client accessing Public Folders?

I have a utility user that just needs mail so started setting it up as a Standard User. (I didn't want to set them up as a Premium User and burn a seat.) But apparently, only Premium Users have access to Public Folders. So, I made the user a Premium User, but the Public Folders do not show up in the list of subscribable folders. I have the correct default perms on the Public Folders tree and even explicitly set this user to be able to Read Items with Folder Visible, but as an IMAP account, it cannot access the folders. Perhaps what I read about only Premium Users being able to access the Public Folders meant that they have to do so through the Scalix Server and not as a simple IMAP client? This user will be accessing from a Mac, so will I need to go the Firefox/SWA route?

Thanks,
Mike

What imap client are you using. I use thunderbird and see the public folders.

Hmmm... It is working now. I am using Thunderbird too, but the folders were not visible. Since my original post I have restarted Scalix (and upgraded to 10.0.5). Maybe restarting the services did the trick since the user in question was originally a Standard User.

This can happen if you change the user class while there is still an IMAP process running for that user.
