Can't stop resending an email, help!

I'd like to start this by shouting *HELP*

I am running Scalix 10.0.5. I have a user that was using Scalix Connect for Outlook and sent an email just like he normally does. This time it just happened to be to a yahoo account of his own, nothing special about it.

He sent it yesterday around 3pm, and he has received it in his yahoo mailbox every 2-3 minutes since, literally hundreds of times. It is not stuck in any Scalix queue that I can find.

I am also running MailScanner with MailWatch on this box so that I can easily monitor the spam mail situation etc. This email only appears in the outbound sendmail log once, and it is not stuck in the outbound sendmail queue or anything.

First thing is I need to stop this repetitive email, and then if possible I'd like to find out how it happened so that I know it doesn't happen to anyone else he (or anyone) sends email to!

Thank you for any help! The sooner the better! The emails keep piling up!

Ok, well I'm not sure what I did that stopped it, or if it stopped on its own somehow, but he stopped receiving the emails finally.

Anyone have any ideas on how/why this would have happened? Could it have been a problem with Yahoo's mail server?

Ok, well, it's happening again.

I'm not sure what I did last time, but I'm going to try it again, but does anyone have any idea why this keeps happening? It's from the same user and too the same email address.

Also, I did find out that another email he sent out to someone else at the same domain (sbcglobal.net) had the same problem, hundreds of emails (800+) of the same email within a day.

Anyone have any suggestions on where to look?

Oddly again, just like last time, exactly 24 hours after the email was first sent, the emails stopped. There doesn't seem to be any reason that I can find that it did this. This time I found that the email was in the outbound sendmail queue, but I cleared that out and the emails still persisted to send regularly (12-15 emails every 10 minutes).

Thankfully, again, it has stopped. But does anyone have *any* suggestions on how to stop this from happening again in the future? Or how to stop it from happening once i find it happened?

Help!!!

Ok, this problem has come up again, with the same domain, but this time a customer is on the receiving end of the swarm of emails.

For the last two times this happened, it went on for exactly 24 hours and then stopped. It's not my sendmail delay as that used to be a 5 day deffered timeout. Could it be the receiving domains server that's causing this?

Does anyone have any ideas?
