Willing to go the scalix route but all we really want to do is share an address book.
Whch version of scalix will allow this simple task?
exchange server is not an option.
1 outlook user
2 outlook express users.
Thank you.
Have not received a reply from info@scalix as of yet.

Hmmm...

i guess I need a bit more information here....

... do you mean the email systems address book (i.e. global address list?).... Now... this can be accessed using Outlook, Scalix Web Access and also other eMail clients such as Outlook Express through the Scalix LDAP service. All versions of Scalix can do that.

... personal contacts of a user; they can be made accessible to others using delegation; delegation is currently only supported on the Outlook Client. They are also accessible using LDAP for Standards based clients and again SWA. For Outlook Support of Delegation, you need the Enterprise Edtion

... Shared Contacts lists. This is best done using Contact-Type Public folders which can be accessed through Outlook, SWA and also IMAP. Public Folders are a feature of Scalix Enterprise Edition.

If you describe your scenario in more detail, I'll be able to make a recommendation on which possibility would work best.

Cheers,
Florian.
