em hyphen

We are using scalix 10.0.0.343 with outlook and the scalix connectore. For some reason emails with em hyphons are being cut off. As an exampe if we write the following email:

Now you see it

Now--you dont

**the dash-dash is the em hyphen it just does not show up as one in this forum

The recipient receives the following email

Now you see it

Now

Did some more troubleshooting. The user has a blue dot in their signature, the html code shows it as a &#9679. Taking out the dot seems to fix the problem, if both the dot and the em hyphen are in the same email then the message will get cut off after the em hyphen.

We found a workaround but does anybody know what caused the problem? It makes me wonder what other special characters could cause problems.

Anybody know if this is a problem in the small business or enterprise version?

Well, if there is a problem then it is in all editions of Scalix because they are all based on the same code.

However, I don't understand the problem just yet - can you give step-by-step instructions on how to reproduce this, inlcuding what type of recipient (internal? external?) you send to and precise version information?
