Hi

I have just downloaded Scalix and am looking to install it before I purchase the full copy.

Anyway;

I went to install Scaillix on our web server and it told me to turn off the running POP3/IMAP Deamon.

Basically what im asking, coudl i for example run

mail.ourdomain.ac.uk running our existing horde webmail (on a seperate server)
and
ourdomain.ac.uk (running where the accoutns actually are)

would horde still work using Scailix pop3/imap ?, i.e would any other clients be able to use teh Scalix pop3/imap deamon.

You could connect Horde to the Scalix IMAP daemon, but Scalix's web client is MUCH nicer, and more fully featured. But you could do it, if you'd prefer.

Generally, people have historicall added squirrelmail, or something similar so they have a very lightweight http client that would work on browsers that lack functionality neccessary for the Scalix webclient.
