Hi there,

i can't send emails out. I tried to send emails to gmx.de and t-online.de adresses.
When i send to gmx i get connection reset by host and with t-online i get now route to host.
with nslookup and telnet i get "connection closed by foreign host" with gmx.de and no route to host with t-online.de

these are test email accounts i created to test outgoing mail. has anyone an opinion what is the problem?
even the yahoo mx is rejecting the connection over port 25.

cheers richard.

What kind of provider are you trying to send from?

Most residential internet accounts are blocked from sending outgoing mail. Outgoing port 25 is blocked to anywhere but the provider's servers, in an attempt to keep home users from sending out spam.

That might be your problem.
Or else, some servers might also refuse mail that do not have an MX Record attached.
But that's more of a stretch.
I'd put my money on the first thing.
