smtpd.cfg relay options

Postby mayk » Tue Oct 24, 2006 5:04 pm

Hi,

After doing some reading about stuff in the smtpd.cfg , i came across a post by florian explaining some stuff.
He wrote that having the options .domain.tld in your smtpd.cfg would grant access for relaying stuff.

example..
in my smtpd.cfg it says
RELAY accept .mayk.org

This would allow my laptop for example called laptop-mayk to relay. It gets a domain suffix from the dhcp server. laptop-mayk.mayk.org is the fqdn internally.

But now comes my question. I have a seperate system covering my proxy , anti-spam and anti-virus needs. So it sits in front of the scalix. This system also has a domain suffix. Am i correct that emails from this system wil be allowed to relay ?
It's a proxsmtpd passthru .. (www.ipcop.org)

Cheers,

Mayk
