I had an issue with sendmail being open twice (Had started sendmail under Webmin control panel which was overriding the sendmail of Scalix so I was receiving tons of unwanted spam trying to use me as a relay. As a result I have around 20,000 e-mails which are sitting in the Local Delivery Queue that won't go away. I have been deleting them as they have been funneling into the admin account as errors.. Is there anything that I can do to manually clear out this Queue? I don't seem to find any commands to do this.. Only clear out accounts.. Thank you for any help you will be able to provide.

You can clear the queue from SAC by clicking on Server Info, then the Local Delivery queue and then deleting the messages there.

I have only had one instance of the LD queue having any messages (this was when a message store got corrupt) so for me its always a big alarm when the LD queue gets backed up. I normally don't see any messages in there at all. You might want to check /var/log/maillog (or equivalent) to see if there is something else that's going on.

From the command line, you can use the omqdump command. It is password protected, but there was a thread in the forums that showed how to calculate the password (I forget the exact thread, but you should be able to pull it up with a search). This is an advanced tool, so be careful before you start deleting messages using it :)

Hope this helps.

I have gotten it corrected. I use webmin along with my servers and when I started the sendmail server using that and I guess it is a different executable it is running. It caused my system to receive mail from all sorts of people. I found that scalix was not the server receiving communication from port 25. Stopped the second instance, deleted all of the e-mails, and all is well.
