Scalix Server Syncronization guide?

Postby asv » Wed Oct 04, 2006 4:15 pm

Is there a step for step guide, on getting two scalix servers syncronized?

I have two trial versions for evaluation at my company, but the administration guide seems to missing a lot of details when it comes to setting up server syncronization.

Server X: Scalix server outside internal network
Server Y: Scalix server inside the internal network

I want a step by step howto guide for setting up something, where i can check my mail via server Y inside the internal network, and it keeps in constant sync with server X.

Can anyone point me in the right direction. Its hard for me to recommend purchasing scalix, if I cannot setup a simple server sync with a 392 page administration guide.

This is not how you would do it.

You need to setup a VPN to get to your internal server from the Internet. There is no server-to-server synchronisation in Scalix.

You may want to look at Smartcache for your client. With SC, you can take a local copy of your mail and work disconnected. Works awesome.

Cheers,

Sascha.
