TLS/SSL connection when Archiving to server

Postby jcaudell » Mon Oct 02, 2006 11:09 am

Anyone know if it is possible to force a TLS/SSL connection when connecting to a server with the ARCHIVE:smtp command?

We're trying to Archive to an offsite provider for SEC Compliance purposes, and this would be preferred to a non-secure connection.

Maybe setting up the connection as a mirroring to an exchange server? (I believe they run exchange on their end).

Thanks for the help.

No, there isn't a facility to use TLS/SSL. You could, however, use ssh tunneling/port forwarding.

Don
