Is there a way to backup the public folders

I made the script for backing up (found in the forums) that dumps the mailboxes and backs up /var/opt/scalix. But where are the BBS (public folders) stored?

I have mail stored in a public folder and a user accidently deleted some of it. I don't wan't it to happen again.

Thanks

The Public Folders (Bulletin Boards) are stored in /var/opt/scalix, together with users' mailboxes, so if you backup that you will have them. The backup script probably uses omcpoutu to copy the mailbox data, which does not support Bulletin Boards. However, that has been addressed in Scalix 11, sxmboxexp will be able to do that as well.

If you want to restore the Bulletin Boards now, you can restore /var/opt/scalix on a different machine, log in with Outlook and copy the Public Folders to a PST, then transfer it back to your live server that way.
