empty envelope sender <> rejected

How do I get Scalix to accept mail from an empty envelope sender? This is the error I see:

Where are you seeing this error ?

If I telnet to port 25 on the host, I can enter a SMTP conversation and have it work:

I'm also trying to send via telnet, the only difference is that we are trying to relay through the server.

I added their hostname to /etc/mail/relay-domains and their network address to smtpd.cfg as a RELAY accept entry.

Is there something else I need to do to allow them to relay using an empty envelope sender?

I also require this answer. We utilize Postini as our spam and virus check service. In order to utilize their outbound service they have to relay back through us in the case of a failed delivery event.

They perform a check to ensure they can relay through us and it fails with the empty envelope 501 error.

I have set their IP range in the RELAy settings in smtpd.cfg

OK...I can reproduce your problem when I send to a non-Scalix user.

I'll do some investigation because if I telnet directly to localhost:25 and enter the same commands, no error is returned.
