I have a customer who is running on IBM p570 servers who is interested in running Scalix Enterprise on this system. This is an IBM POWER5+ based system which uses the PowerPC instruction set.
IBM supports RedHat Linux for PowerPC on this system.
Does Scalix offer a PowerPC distribution ?

We don't support Linux on PPC at this time. Obviously we're continously evaluating platform support based on demand. How big is the customer?
Thx,
Florian.

The customer is a X in Atlantic City and has about 1500 users. We are an IBM Business Partner and this is the first of potentially many customers that are considering replacement options for their Domino email systems.

We should certainly be collecting this and look at it from a viewpoint of business development; also here in Germany, we have a number of customers who could consider running Scalix on iSeries or pSeries platforms (or should I say System P as I just learned about this further rename two weeks ago?).
Could you please get in touch with our US sales department and CC: me? General email should go to sales - at - scalix - dot - com, my email is florian - att - scalix dott com.
Thx,
Florian.
