Quick Question on User Permissions...

Hello all!
Got a quick question:
One of my scalix users created an entry within Outlook, and another user is trying to change that entry - but can't!
Both users are admins and mailbox admins. Shouldn't they be able to change each other's entries? If one is out of the office, the other should be able to administer those contacts and calendar entries...
If not, how can I enable such capabilitiies for them to do so?
Any help and info is greatly appreciated!

Rainer,
sorry, please provide us with a bit more information here; what kind of "entry" are you talking about? Have you setup delegation between the users? Is this in private or public folders?
Thanks,
Florian.

Hallo Florian!
It's the "Kontakte" Folder (?), which is publicly accessible and *should* be managable via Outlook.
Is that the correct assumption?

certainly with permissions setup correctly, this should work.
how did you setup the permissions from the user that owns the folder? Did you use the options->delegates ("Stellvertreter") menu or dir you right-click on folder and go through properties? in any case, which "role" did you assign?
cheers,
Florian.

I didn't assign anything like that!
I just created the users, and made 3 of them admins and mboxadmins. That's pretty much all.
I am not using Outlook at all, just the scalix webgui, commandline or the sac.
Are you saying that I have to log in as a admin user from within Outlook and then change permissions on, lets say the Kalender and the Kontakte Directory?
Sorry, but I am still rather new to scalix...

Delegate Access is currently only supported with Outlook in MAPI-mode (Scalix-Connect).
HOWTO: see

I hope that the next Scalix release will include Delegate-Access for webmail and IMAP.

I think...

we've mentioned in various places across this forum that full delegate access and folder sharing will be available in Scalix 11 and that's still true. So stay tuned, we'll announce Scalix 11 and offer a community preview early version in the week of Aug, 14th, from LinuxWorld San Francisco.
I've also mentioned the same thing to Mr. Hoffmann when I talked to him last.
Please contact me directly if you have any more questions....
Best regards,
