Masquerading Domains

Hei,

I have a question concerning masquerading of domains.
Is it possible to masquerade two different domains on one scalix server

example:
user1@server1.localdomain1.tld --sending with-- user1@domain1.tld
user2@server1.localdomain1.tld --sending with-- user2@domain2.tld

or is there another way to solve those problems?

Thanks a lot
Patrick

Although this is a different question, the answer is similar.

http://www.scalix.com/community/viewtopic.php?t=2356

Outbound email will be sent from the address specified by the primary email address for a given mailbox.

If you want to send as two different people, you will need to use two different mailboxes.

The only exception to this being if you move to an IMAP account where you can specify an identity specifically. For example, in Kmail, I can send as any one of several users.

Hei,

thank you for the answer. I can do something with the link you´ve posted.

And I found the stuff to solve my problem. The Problem was a little strange but I think I solved it now.

Our exactly problem was:

We have 2 Mail-Servers, so we needed a different local.domain for the Scalix server because the real.domain was taken for the first Mail-Server.
For this problem I have set the sendmail-masquerading to get the proper domain. Now we ha ve some ohter users migrating to the scalix server with a third, different domain. But I found a reason and this work´s correctly.

But thank you for the answer.
