I remember reading something somewhere that said after you IMPORT a new user with a lot of mail you need to run 'something'.

Anyone know what that something is?

by the way what does all this mean in omscan output? Not in man page, not in docs.

USER NAME IN OUT PDG FCAB DLST WB TOTAL

The username is obvious.
In is Intray, also known as Inbox.
Out is outtray, like Sent Items.
PDG is Pending, like Outbox.
FCAB is Filing Cabinet. This is folders the person has created in their profile.
WB is WasteBasket aka Trash or Deleted Items.
TOTAL is also obvious.

To answer the original poster, I'd run an "omtidyallu -M" which pre-generates MIME content, and speeds up folder access.

Hmm I was wondering about this as well, but when I get my weekly omscan, the out column is all 1s, whereas the pending is very populated (DLST is all One's for me as well). Are these two columns mismarked? Should it be:

IN PDG OUT FCAB DLST WB TOTAL

just be aware that the omtidyallu command can take a significant amount of time to run, and put a fairly large load on the server. I'd recommend doing it afterhours on a Friday night, or something like that. (Depending on how many users you have...)

Kevin has mixed up OUT and PDG - OUT is the Outtray, i.e. temporary storage, while PDG actually maps to send items.
