Probably a stupid question

I'm the network admin for a small company and currently we have our website and email handled through earthlink. What I'm interested in doing is setting up our own in house email server. I am interested to know if I can set up scalix to effectively check the email accounts on the earthlink server. I know this is a bit redundant but while we can't afford an enterprise server we would like to have one for calandering and othe things. Plus currently we've no way to check email while out of the office.

Hi,

this is most certainly possible. The "friend" you'll need is a little linux tool called fetchmail - that'll do the trick. Just search for that name on this forum and you should find some info.

Cheers,
Florian.

Thanks!
