Suddenly I can't start Internet Mail Gateway anymore. It says Aborted:

Have you tried restarting the service with "omon unix"? Did it go back to an aborted state?

I used SAC started it. But unstable, went back to Aborted status. I restarted the box, it's running fine now.

There're a lot of fatal SERIOUS ERROR Internet Mail (Outgoing). Could I ask what cause the problem? Is there a fix for this? The Scalix is running on CentOS 4.3 i386.

If it aborted again, I will use omon unix to restart it.

Hi. If you do an omstat -q error, it's likely you'll see a message there. If there's a corrupted message in a queue that causes one of the services to abort, it will get moved to the error queue after two more aborted attempts.

However, based on what you posted, it's likely caused by either an empty or malformed ical body part. We do have a fix for this in the next major community release and the current enterprise release.

i think i'm having the same problem. the service keeps going into the aborted state. there doesn't seem to be any messages in the error queue either. here's the last couple entries from my fatal log;
