Smtp error when sending to Scalix

Hello-

I'm getting this when sending mail to our scalix server through our mail gateway. Not on every message but only on some. The gateway server is postfix.

conversation with scalix.abc.com[10.1.0.22] timed out while sending end of data

Is it possible this is happening on large messages and there is some parameter to change to allow for a greater socket connection time?
