I want to do the following:
- Use Scalix' LDAP directory as the single sign-on database
- I want that users accessing Samba shares authenticate agains Scalix' LDAP directory
- I want that the username and the password of the Samba authentication is the same as that for Scalix

I have made some attempts, but I didn't made much progress. I have read many posts on this forum about using an external LDAP directory instead of that of Scalix', but I do not want that.

Has anyone experience with my intended setup as I describe above?

Thanks in advance

That is not what the LDAP server in Scalix was designed for. You should be using OpenLDAP to achieve what you want. It has all the necessary components, is well documented and extensible.
