We have a bit of an emergency on our hands a user appears to be partially deleted on the system when they were deleted prior to reimporting there email using omcpinu and now we can neither delete or create the user.
upon execution of the delete command we get the following output

[root@kipper user]# omdelu bob
[OM 8040] The user can't be found, or has been deleted.
omdelu: No users were deleted

and when you try to recreate them you get the following:

[root@kipper user]# omaddu -n bob/kipper,bob
omaddu : [OM 8257] The Internet Address is already assigned to
another entry in the System Default Directory.

any help you could give would be greatfully received.

Well, I've made some progress

I've worked out how to delete the user from the Directory and recreate it, Unfortunately omcpinu won't allow me to now restore the user as can be seen below.

[root@kipper tmp]# omcpinu -f Bob-20060718-mail -m "kipper,bob"
omcpinu : [SYS 27] Bob-20060718-mail file system error number 27

File too large

The file that was created using omcpoutu is 4.4GB in size and while that is pretty large it exports on a nightly basis so I would expect it to import ok as well.

If anyone can help with this I would be most greatfull

my filesystems are as followes:

/dev/md4 2.0G 1.3G 576M 70% /
