Change of Scalix Server IP Address

Hi,
I need to change the IP address of my scalix server,
is there anything I have to do with scalix configuration in order to make sure everthing still works ok?

Yes, plenty. Please read up on the forum about the possible implications of a server name change. Unless you have a very good reason to do so, don't. If you must, use sxmodfqdn -o old.domain.com -n new.domain.com to start. There is plenty of threads on this forum dealing with renaming servers and I recommend looking at a couple.

Hi,
NOT the DOMAIN just the IP ADDRESS needs a change ... will this still have serious impact.. ?

Hi,
You will probably need to restart the server and other components like httpd, tomcat, etc. I would recomend you restart the whole machine after changing the IP. But if your hostname and domain name stay the same it should be ok.
