Adding invitations as tentative even if eMail is unread?

With our previous groupware solution (meetingmaker) invitations were added to the calendar as a tentative entry even if the invited person didn't open his client yet. Now with scalix the invitee needs to read the invitation in SWA or Outlook. We don't have a mobile solution (yet), so sometimes a few days pass until someone opens his or her mailbox. This can result in double or triple bookings for a given time span.
Now I'm aware that you are emulating the Outlook/Exchange behaviour here. My question is: is this reasonable, or could you imagine a way to make this work like it used to with meetingmaker?
If this is absolutely impossible: would a Notify based solution with Blackberrys be a workaround?

Scalix does not provide tentative resource booking. From a support point of view, I can only tell you that this is the way things work. You probably should make your case with product management to see what can be done here. Short term, definitely no change in behaviour to be expected, though. Send a message to support at scalix dot com and I will forward it.

Cheers,

Sascha.
