Always leave a copy on the server

Is there any way to set up Scalix to always leave a copy of a retrieved message on the server? For example, this would allow users who normally use Outlook to have access to all their old e-mails when they use Scalix Web Access.

When you say "retrieved" do you mean with POP? If they're using Outlook in MAPI or IMAP mode, the message do stay on the server. If you do mean POP, then yes, there's a setting in just about every POP client I know of that will leave the messages on the server.
Thanks,

Yeah, I know there is a setting client-side for POP, just wondering if there was a server-side option for POP. I guess we could just go with IMAP...

Yes, you should definitively use IMAP. This way you can create subfolders and they also show up in your mail client. The only reason to use POP3 is if you want to download the last few mails to your mobile phone or pda.
