All Sent items showing as bold and unread

Hi,

I've just converted my client, Briggs Veneers for Exchange 5.5 to Scalix Small Business Server, 50 user.

All seemd to go well.

I've found today that when a user sends a message, internally or externally the message gets copied into the sent items folder as unread and bolded. Not the normal behaviour.

I found this post on the forum and tried some of its suggestions without luck.

I tried creating a new profile in outlook, tried different pc's, users etc. It happens to all users on Multiple versions of outlook - 2002 and 2003. All outlook versions have the latest service packs applied.

I also enabled logging as suggested in the outlook client as i sent a message to test.

If not, how did you migrate the users over? What Outlook plugins do the users have installed? Could you also confirm that you only have one mail account (that being Scalix) in the user's Scalix profile.

This has also just started happening to another client who have had scalix working perfectly for about 2 months. I cant see any reason why it would have started elsewhere.
This is very frustrating for the end user, they think emails don't get sent! We all know better ofcourse ;)

However ....how can we resolve this?

So, can you confirm again that this doesn't happen to new accounts, but only to accounts that were migrated? If so, can you try running Outlook with the /resetfolders option and see if that changes anything.

I've just tested and it happens to all users, whether migrated or brand new. For the record i create all users in scalix and then migrated mail across.

I created a brand new user yesterday for admin purposes, no migration and it still happens in that acocunt.

I tried the /resetfolders and /resetfoldernames switches to outlook, neither helped the situation.

Outlook Version is 2002 SP3 on the one i tested, though it happens in all versions (i.e. ive seen it happen in Outlook 2003 and 2000.

I checked "omshowlog -l 15" but could see no errors at the time of testing.

What else can we look at next?

No other plugins. but...

Disabling the EMON (Email Monitor) portion of Nod32 has stopped this behaviour. I have tested on Outlook 2003 and 2002 with the EMON disabled. Sent Items stay as normal - "read".

And i also have been able to recreate and fix the problem in outlook by turning on and off the nod32 emon on different pc's.

I can live without the emon, its not necessary.
