ISS not running by default?

Hi All,
I'm finall getting around to preparing my system in case I ever need to do a Single User Restore. I note that in the Knowledgebase article on ISDB and SUR, that it states
"By default, omrc will start the ISS, so it is logging."

However, logging in with SAC, I see that the ISS isn't running. omstat -a also reports that the Item Structure Server is stopped.
So, my question is, Should the ISS start automatically, or do I have to tell it to start? If it should be running automatically, can anybody hazard a guess as to why it would stop?

The ISS service is stopped by default on a new Scalix install. This could be an error in the docs ...

To have it start automatically, do

Code: Select all

omsetsvc -a ISS y

This will have it start with a omrc.
