more than double the disk space taken than reported by sxdu

I've migrated 46GB of imap data from my old server to my scalix server. Now the disk space actually taken by my mail data inside scalix is almost 80GB, but "sxdu -a -s -h" shows this:
30G 748M
Did some unsuccessful imap syncs produce this? How can I clean this up?

Unfortunately, this is pretty normal.
When importing data via IMAP (assume this is what you did), the system will (a) store the original imported message in MIME format (to preserve in case It's needed again) and (b) also break down the message into Scalix-internal format for opimized Outlook access, etc., therefore use of double diskspace right after the migration is something that is possible for this very reason.
It will not happen for emails that are sent/received from this moment on, though.
Cheers,
Florian.

In this case I would prefer a possibility to downsize/convert the stored messages. Is this feasable?

what would happen if you deleted these ofd files?

You cannot do this by file; you can only delete old mailbox data using the omtidyallu command...
Florian.
.. a little more detail on omtidyallu

Florian,
Can you provide a little more info on how omtidyallu will take care of the extra files created from the imap imports, flags, arguments required, etc?
Thanks for your help!!

Is there any solution now?
My /var /opt/scalix is above 5,5GB and I have only 150MB total use by User mailboxes
[root@mail2 /]# sxdu -a -s -h
146M 5,1M
[root@mail2 /]# du -h /var/opt/scalix/
5,5G /var/opt/scalix/
I use tar /var/opt/scalix/ for a daily backup and burn it on a DVD, thats now impossible with 5,5 GB.
best regards
Andreas
