5.7.0 authentication failed error after user password change

Hi,

I'm running into an issue with authentication using smtp and entourage. What happened is that a user logged into webmail to check their email and while there changed their password. After changing their password, they are no longer able to send email out through Entourage (the MS Outlook for Mac) although they can still receive email within Entourage. The error they are receiving is "Error 5.7.0 Authentication failed". The user can still log in and send out email through the webmail interface however.

We've tried resetting the user password through the admin console but that did not help the issue with Entourage. We are not sure if there is an issue with scalix in that it is not updating something necessary for authentication outside of webmail. Any ideas? Or has anyone else run into a problem like this?

First thing to do is to enable debug logging on the SMTP Relay. Take a look at the post at http://www.scalix.com/community/viewtopic.php?p=7802#7802
