Permanently Stop POP3 service

Short of blocking the port, is there a way to permanently stop the POP3 service? I do not want it to run, even when the machine restarts.

Currently, I am manually stopping it each time.

yes. use the omsetsvc command.

don't have time to check now, but i think it should be omsetsvc -a pop N or so. please check the manpage.
