Scalix and OS X native clients

I'm working in a mac-heavy environment that's looking to share its calendar and contacts using OS X's iCal.app and Address Book.app. Specifically, they would like to be able to create new calendar items/contacts locally and upload them to the server.
Reading the forums, I gather that you have just implemented iCalendar support; in practice, does this mean that my clients can simply use the "Calendar > Subscribe" option in iCal to connect to Scalix?
What about Address Book? I realize that I can connect with LDAP, but that I would be unable to edit contact info from within the client. In Address Book's preferences, I see the option to "synchronize with Exchange" - can I point this to Scalix and take advantage of this built-in sync?
