start/stopping scalix as normal-user

Postby packets » Fri Nov 19, 2010 10:02 am

Is it possible in scalix to have a normal user be able to start/stop scalix services (e.g. scalix,scalix-postgres and scalix-tomcat)????

I tried to modify a user and make him an admin by doing "ommodu -o 'user name' -c admin -u <unix id>". It can now command omshowu, sxmboximp, etc. but not stopping scalix service

When you want to start / stop /restart a service in Redhat /centos you need to be(come) root.
use:

sudoedit

to add the limited users to /etc/sudoers
to enable it to restart services..
Kind regards,

Paul
